Adan Vaca Martinez died on Tuesday, April 10, 2018 in his home surrounded by his family. He was 52.

Mr. Martinez was born on Oct. 31, 1965 in Morelia, Michoacan, Mexico to Alicia Martinez and Hilario Vaca Sr. He was a resident of Watsonville for over 20 years. He was an avid 49ers fan and also loved the soccer team from his home state, Michoacan; Los Monarcas de Morelia. He also enjoyed fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Maria Eugenia Pina; sons, Adan Vaca Jr. and Oscar Vaca; siblings, Fernando, Marcos, Alfredo, Raul, Hilario, Alejandro, Alicia, Silvia, Eva, Hilda and Guadalupe; grandparents, Adan Vaca III and Zenia Vaca; and over 40 nieces and nephews, cousins and in-laws.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 16 from 5-9 p.m. at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel with a recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 p.m. There will be a Funeral Mass celebrated on Tuesday, April 17 at 10 a.m. at Assumption Church. Burial will follow at Pajaro Valley Memorial Park located at 127 Hecker Pass Road in Watsonville.
