Photos: Watsonville pump track opens

The Ramsay Park Pumptrack, the only asphalt-covered pump track in Santa Cruz County, officially opened on Tuesday in Watsonville. On April 11 from 1:30-4:30pm Mountain Bikers of Santa Cruz, who built the track, will hold a special all-girls pump track event. The event is meant to teach young girls, ages 7-17, how to use the pump track. A professional women’s coach, plus other organizations, will be in attendance. Sign-up is required. There’s only room for 12 girls, but future events are in the works. For information contact Watsonville Parks and Community Services Department, 831-768-3240.
