Born November 30, 1944, in Nueva Rosita, Coahuila, Mexico, Andres Jimenez, Sr. was the son of Jose Dolores Jimenez and Bernardina Garcia.  On May 29, 2018, he died peacefully at the age of 73 at Watsonville Post Acute Center.

Mr. Jimenez moved to Watsonville and work at Berman Metals as a truck driver.  He also worked in the local agricultural industry as a tractor operator, finally retiring as a truck driver from Paul Trucking.

He married Victoria Ortiz to form a family of three sons:  Andres, Jr., Martin, and Ramon.  He enjoyed his time on the road and, as a result, taught his sons how to drive commercial vehicles.

He is survived by his three sons and six grandchildren (Meagan, David, Jonathan, Alejandro, Maya, and Natalia).  Mr. Jimenez is also survived by his siblings, Priciliana, Edieberto, Jaime, Jose, Jesus, Jose Isabel, Musia, Lupe, Josefina, and Paz.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 2, 2018, from 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Mehl’s Colonial Chapel, 222 East Lake Avenue, Watsonville, CA 95076.
