Man, woman found dead in apparent murder-suicide, police say

WATSONVILLE—A man and woman were found dead in a home in Pajaro Village on Christmas Eve in what police believe to be a murder-suicide.

Watsonville Police Department Sgt. Mike Ridgway said officers were led to the man and woman by a relative.

The Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office identified the pair as 84-year-old Lucia Alba and 85-year-old Abraham Alba. 

Watsonville Fire joined police at the home on the 400 block of Vivienne Drive around noon. The home is part of an older adult community on the east side of the city.

Police sealed off the home with yellow crime scene tape.

No other details have been released. The investigation is ongoing.
