Alexis Valenzuela, Watsonville, Jr.: One of the young stars of last year’s Watsonville High soccer team, Valenzuela figures to be a cornerstone of the program for the next two seasons.

Valenzuela last season finished second on the team in goals (5) and also dished an assist to help the Wildcatz finish second in the brutal Monterey Bay League Gabilan division and advance to the Central Coast Section Open Division.

With Watsonville losing three of its top four goal scorers from last year to graduation, Valenzuela and other promising young players will need to step up in order for the Black and Gold to continue its impressive winning ways.
