The Watsonville Community Band celebrated its 72nd anniversary recently with a birthday cake. Pictured, from left to right: newest band member Meleny Denis, Conductor Brad Gronroos, President Dana Sales and longest-serving band member Stan Soroken. Continuing its 72-year tradition, the band welcomes interested musicians to any rehearsal on Wednesdays at 7:30 p.m. at the Watsonville High School band room.
