FREEDOM — Tereso Vega Chavez died on Sunday, May 14, 2017 at his home in Freedom. He was 87. 

A native of Cuitzeo del Porvenir, Michoacan, Mexico, he lived in the Pajaro Valley for 30 years. Mr. Vega Chavez worked for Driscoll’s for 30 years and was a member of Parroquia Maria Auxiliadora. He worked hard, was an excellent father and loved being with family and friends.

Mr. Vega Chavez is survived by his son, Deonicio Vega; three daughters, Eliza Varela, Victoria Reyes, and Teresa Villanueva; and 21 grandchildren.

Visitation will be Sunday from 2-9 p.m. at Mehl’s Colonial Chapel. A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.  Services and burial will be Querendaro, Michoacan, Mexico.
