BOULDER CREEK—A San Jose man was arrested early Friday on suspicion of DUI and multiple weapons violations after he reportedly drove past a “Road Closed” barrier in the Santa Cruz Mountains.

The California Highway Patrol said Christopher Campbell, 44, was driving north on Highway 9 near Lower Glen Arbor at 3:35am when he attempted to drive into a roadway that was closed due to the CZU August Lightning Complex fires.

When the CHP pulled him over they arrested Campbell for DUI. Upon searching his car the CHP found two shotguns, a handgun and ammunition.
