APTOS—California Highway Patrol officers on Sunday arrested an Aptos man after he allegedly smashed into a parked vehicle and several other objects while driving drunk in Aptos.

Antonio Ayala, 46, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol. He was booked into Santa Cruz County Jail, but was not in custody on Monday.

According to CHP officer Sam Courtney, Ayala was driving a 1999 Honda Accord at the Deer Park Shopping Center at about 4:50pm when he struck a parked pickup. A witness then took a video of him striking several objects before he hit an embankment and rolled over.

No injuries were reported.
