The Monte Vista Christian baseball team hit the field on Thursday afternoon for a practice session led by Mustangs manager Don Keathley.

Keathley and his coaching staff have a week to get the players back into playing shape by providing plenty of hitting, fielding and pitching drills prior to start of the new season.

MVC is scheduled to play its Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League opener at Watsonville High on April 17 at 1pm.
