APTOS—The high school football season unofficially kicked off this past weekend with the Santa Cruz County Jamboree at Cabrillo College.

St. Francis, Pajaro Valley and Watsonville high schools along with four other schools within the county scrimmaged for the first time this season at Carl Conelly Stadium on Aug. 19.

Here’s a glimpse of the action of the Santa Cruz County Jamboree that also featured Soquel, Santa Cruz, San Lorenzo Valley and Scotts Valley high schools.

Week 1 football schedule

Friday

  • San Lorenzo Valley at Carlmont (Belmont), 7pm
  • Aptos at Oakdale, 7:30pm
  • Scotts Valley at Santa Cruz, 7:30pm
  • North Monterey County vs. Christopher, 7:30pm

Saturday

  • Pajaro Valley vs. Watsonville, 12:30pm
  • St. Francis vs. Monte Vista Christian, 2pm
