Aptos High junior guard Laurel Southall earned All-Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League First Team honors following a strong performance on the court this season.
The coaches within the league recognized Southall for helping the Mariners girls’ basketball team to an 8-18 overall record this season.
She finished with an average of 9.6 points and 3.9 rebounds per game, and was a stalwart on the defensive side with 1.5 steals per game.
Fellow junior teammate Guin Lines earned all-league second team honors after she finished with an average of 9.0 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.9 steals per game for the Mariners this season.
Aptos freshman Abby Sherwood and junior Sophia Pursley were named to the Honorable Mention team.
