A 45-year-old man died early Sunday morning when his vehicle careened off of Graham Hill Road near Felton and smashed onto a tree.

California Highway Patrol Officer Israel Murillo said the man, who has not been named, was driving a 2009 Nissan Altima north on Graham Hill Road at 2:45am at an unknown speed.

For unknown reasons the Nissan veered off the pavement and collided with several objects, including a tree. The impact hurled the driver from his four-door sedan south of Deer Path Road.

Despite life-saving measures, the driver died at the scene, Murillo said.

It is not known if alcohol or drugs played a role in the crash, which is still under investigation.

  1. why were these students not featured at the Santa Cruz Symphonies Children’s Concert at the Mello Center in February this year. Absolutely school officials were aware that this special concert has been happening for years except during covid!
