Santa Cruz County Sheriffs deputies on Thursday arrested a man after he allegedly entered the campuses of two Watsonville schools and banged on several doors.

Michael Rocha, 31, was charged with entering school grounds without registering, disrupting school activities and being under the influence of a controlled substance. He was booked into Santa Cruz County Jail in lieu of  $2,500 bail, jail records showed.

According to Pajaro Valley Unified School District spokeswoman Alicia Jimenez, students were kept safe by sheltering in place in their classrooms, and all students were safe.
