The 12-year-old girl who took her mother’s car and went on the run Saturday—and her 12-year-old boyfriend who joined her—have both been found In Santa Clara and are safe, according to Watsonville Police spokeswoman Michelle Pulido.

Neveah Castillo reportedly drove off in a light blue Nissan Altima around 1am Saturday from her Riverside Drive home with Kevin Trinidad.

The pair were later involved in a hit-and-run crash in Marina later Saturday.

All regional law enforcement agencies around the Central Coast were notified. 

Then, later Saturday, the Nissan was involved in another hit and run crash in Santa Clara where Santa Clara Police were able to safely detain both of the 12-year-olds.
