Watsonville firefighters battle flames erupting from a car in Pajaro Wednesday evening. An official with North Monterey County Fire said there were no apparent injuries, and that the gas tank appeared to have ruptured in the small sedan, leading to a stubborn and dramatic blaze that took about 20 minutes to quell in a driveway near Salinas Road at Jonathan Street. The cause is still under investigation. (Tarmo Hannula/The Pajaronian)
