Toribio “Peewee” Uribe Sr. died peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2017. He was 69.
He was a kindhearted man that enjoyed life to the fullest. He loved his Dallas Cowboys and was a big auto enthusiast. He loved gardening, camping, gambling and spending time with his family. He enjoyed his Tejano Music greatly. He prided himself as being American born, and a Texan by the Grace of God.
He is survived by his wife, Nora Uribe; his children, Sandy Uribe, and Toribio Uribe Jr. and his wife Christina; siblings, Robles Moreno, San Juana Salinas, Miguel Uribe, Guadalupe Ramirez, Rosa Nevarez and David Rangel; and numerous grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael Anthony.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 5 from 5-9 p.m. with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel. Mass will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 6 at 12 p.m. at Our Lady of Assumption Church followed by the burial directly after at Valley Public Cemetery.
