WATSONVILLE — Luis Ayala Jr. died on Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2017 at Sutter Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley. He was 67.
He was born on Aug. 31, 1950 to Luis Ayala and Irene Pena. Mr. Ayala was born in Wisconsin, raised in Texas, and lived in Watsonville for the last 50 years. He was a faithful member of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He worked many years as a grease man for Watsonville Cannery. He enjoyed time preaching, giving advice from the Bible, and talking about his faith to all who were willing to listen. He was a wonderful husband, brother, father, uncle, grandfather, and a great man.
Mr. Ayala was preceded in death by his siblings, Guadalupe, Irene, Ruth, and Abel Ayala. He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Esperanza Ayala; children, Noemi Jauregui, Daniel Ayala, and Maria E. Vasquez; siblings, Guillermina, Miguel, Noe, Daniel, Esther, David, Raquel, Samuel, Leticia, Luis, Michael, Veronica; four grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces.
There will be a gathering held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 480 South Green Valley Road, Watsonville, on Saturday, Sept. 16 at 2 p.m.
Visitation will be held at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel on Sunday, Sept. 17, 3-9 p.m. Burial will be at Valley Public Cemetery on Monday, Sept. 18 at 11 a.m.
