PASO ROBLES — Crisoforo “Chris” Gallardo died peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017 in Paso Robles. He was 92.
Mr. Gallardo was a hardworking man. He enjoyed his family vacations to El Paso, Texas traveling by train. He was employed with Southern Pacific for 26 years. He also took part in building the tracks and bridges at Roaring Camp in Felton. Mr. Gallardo was also an avid fan of baseball.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Sally Ledesma Gallardo; and their children, Marie Tabag (Joe) of Prunedale, Larry Gallardo (Alma) of Moorpark, Richard Gallardo (Teri) of Hollister and Teresa Guzman of Paso Robles; sisters, Manuela Gallardo from El Paso, Texas, Angelita Teran from Stockton and Esther Serrano from El Paso, Texas; 10 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will take place at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel on Wednesday, Oct. 11 from 5-9 p.m. with the recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Oct. 12 at Valley Church at 10 a.m. followed by the committal at Valley Public Cemetery.
