A crew from Pacific Gas and Electric work on replacing power lines where a toppling tree wiped out three power poles and power lines Monday morning at 1:40 a.m. on Paradise Road in Prunedale during heavy rains and winds. Mayra Tostado, PG&E spokesperson, said 25 people lost power but it was restored a short while later. There was also a separate outage in Royal Oaks where a eucalyptus tree knocked out power at 8:40 a.m. on Ridgecrest and Vega roads. Tostado said power was restored there by 12:45 p.m. Paradise Road was closed down entirely for several hours to allow for repairs.
