APTOS — Virginia J. Miller died at her residence in Aptos on Sunday, Dec. 3, 2017. She was 78.

Mrs. Miller was born in Elizabeth, N.J. and lived in Aptos for the past 17 years. She was a school teacher for the San Jose Unified School District for 25 years. Mrs. Miller was an avid golfer and tennis player. She belonged to the Seascape Golf Club and was a tennis coach at Pioneer High School in San Jose. She was active in the American Association of University Women.

Mrs. Miller is survived by her husband, Ted Lohr of Aptos; two children, David Miller of Prunedale and Anita Miller of Jamestown, Calif., and three grandchildren.

A celebration of life service will be held at the Seascape Golf Club (610 Clubhouse Drive, Aptos) on Thursday, Dec. 14 at 1 p.m. Mehl’s Colonial Chapel was entrusted with the arrangements.
