Pauli Pappas poured in 37 points on 22 shots, grabbed 13 rebounds and made four blocks to lead the Cabrillo College Seahawks to a 79-63 win over Reedley College on Thursday night in preseason action at Aptos.
Grace Giguiere added 20 points and 20 rebounds and Teal Maixner chimed in with eight points, five rebounds, two assists and three steals.
Cabrillo (4-1) hosts Napa Valley College today at 3 p.m.

GIRLS’ SOCCER
• Aptos 9, Santa Catalina 0 – Gisselle Vasquez scored three goals and made an assist, Paige Dueck scored twice and also dished an assist and the Aptos High Mariners cruised to a non-league win over Santa Catalina on Thursday evening in Monterey.
Bella McDaniel scored two goals, Monserrat Hernandez Marquez scored an made an assist, Grace Rothman made two assists and Haley Velduis also found the back of the net for Aptos (2-1-1), which also had Marylu Escutia and Brynn Mitchell make assists.
The Mariners play at last year’s Central Coast Section Division II champion Presentation on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.
• St. Francis 5, Stevenson 0 – Clare Tershey recorded her second consecutive hat-trick on Thursday to power the St. Francis High Sharks over Stevenson in non-league action.
Ashley Raich made two assists, while Riley Croghan and Vere Renteria each added a score for St. Francis (2-0), which plays Cristo Rey on San Jose today at 10 a.m. at Avaya Stadium.

• Watsonville 4, Aptos 2 – Julian Garcia, Alex Gonzalez and Jeal Leal each scored in Watsonville High’s non-league win over Aptos High on Wednesday night in Watsonville.
Gonzalez also made two assists for Watsonville.

• MVC 55, Gunn 30 – Aleah Rafat had 16 points, 10 rebounds and two steals in Monte Vista Christian’s win over Gunn in the first round of the Jin Soden Tournament at Terra Nova High.
Angelina Cortes finished with eight points, four rebounds and three steals and Lauren De Los Santos added seven points, five rebounds and three steals.
• St. Francis 59, Pajaro Valley 41 – Janiya Sevilla had team-high 18 points in St. Francis High’s win over Pajaro Valley High in the first round of the Watsonville High tournament on Thursday.
Chloe Deleissegues added 10 points and Samantha Castro followed with eight points and 10 rebounds.

• St. Francis 55, Oak Grove 42 – The St. Francis High Sharks beat Oak Grove High in the first round of the Bob Hagen Invitational on Thursday night in Gilroy.
E.J. Kelly had 13 points, Jason Gallo added 12 and Andrew Seymour finished with 10.
• Harbor 49, Watsonville 32 – Johnny Silapan scored 11 points in Watsonville High’s loss to Harbor High in the first round of the Emmett Thompson Memorial Dad’s Club Tournament on Thursday in Santa Cruz.
Gio Gonzalez chimed in with eight points.
• Aptos 67, Live Oak 25 – Rashaun Wooden scored 15 points to lead the Aptos High Mariners past Live Oak High on Thursday night in the first round of the Bob Hagen Invitational in Gilroy.
Joe Mendoza, Blake Welle and Logan Southall finished with 10 points apiece.
