Jason Gallo had 24 points and 14 rebounds, Andrew Seymour added 10 points, seven rebounds and six assists and St. Francis cruised to a 66-49 preseason victory over Watsonville High on Friday.

Joseph Ramirez and Bobby Rigor each had eight points and E.J. Kelly dished six assists for St. Francis (7-2), which trailed 14-13 after the first quarter but outscored Watsonville (2-7) 40-22 over the second and third quarters.

Lucas Ruiz nailed six 3-pointers and scored 25 points and Gio Gonzalez chipped in 12 points for Watsonville.

St. Francis is off until its Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League opener on Jan. 3 at San Lorenzo Valley High.

Watsonville, meanwhile, will play in the upcoming Don & Martha Price Christmas Classic at Monte Vista Christian on Wednesday.

• Aptos 67, McClymonds 50 – Rashaun Wooden had 20 points, eight rebounds and three assists for Aptos High in its preseason victory over McClymonds on Saturday afternoon.

Blake Welle added 11 points and six rebounds, Max Pepperdine finished with nine points and seven assists and Logan Southall chimed in with nine points.

Aptos (7-2) plays in the upcoming Santa Cruz Warriors-Aptos Invitational at Kaiser Permanente Arena.

• Aptos 85, Pajaro Valley 54 – Blake Welle poured in 27 points for Aptos High in its preseason victory over Pajaro Valley High on Friday.

Forrest Hays (12), Max Pepperdine (11) and Logan Feldbrugge (10) all scored in double figures, while Rashaun Wooden finished with eight points, six rebounds and four assists for Aptos.

Christian Quintero led Pajaro Valley (5-4) with 18 points.

The Grizzlies play in the North Salinas Bob Steinbach Classic on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m.
