Watsonville High’s Gianna Mosqueda took third place in the 145-pound division of the Lady Baler Bash on Saturday in Hollister.

Mosqueda won the third place match by forfeit over Gilroy High’s Kelly Nebesnick.

Her teammate, Michelle Gomez, took eighth place at 152 pounds.

North Monterey County High’s Valeria Ramirez finished fifth at 133 pounds with a win by 3-1 decision over James Lick High’s Valeria Cortez.

WOMEN’S JC BASKETBALL

• Cabrillo 60, Hartnell 35 – The Cabrillo College Seahawks cruised to another Coast Conference South division win over Hartnell College on Friday night.

Grace Giguiere and Teal Maixner score 14 points apiece for Cabrillo (17-2, 7-0), which travels to Foothill College on Wednesday night at 5 p.m.

MEN’S JC BASKETBALL

• Cabrillo 81, Hartnell 73 – Linton Acliese (22), Tynan Velasquez (19) and Kobe Ordonio (14) all scored in double figures for Cabrillo College in its 81-73 win over Hartnell College on Friday night in CC-South action.

Cabrillo (12-9, 5-2) plays at San Jose City College on Wednesday at 7 p.m.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

• Ceiba 29, Marina 27 – Tehana Owens had nine points, Fenesia Braga added six and Ceiba College Prep edged Marina High in Coastal Athletic League action on Saturday afternoon.

The victory was Ceiba’s (4-3, 4-3) third straight, including Friday evening’s 42-24 win over York in which Maya Carrisales had 12 points and Braga added 11.

Ceiba plays at Oakwood today at 7 p.m.

• St. Francis 70, Harbor 43 – Janessa Yniguez poured in 20 points, Chloe Deleissegues added 15 points, four steals and four assists for St. Francis High in its Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League win over Harbor High on Friday night.

St. Francis (11-8, 5-4) travels to Soquel High tonight at 5:30 p.m.

• Aptos 52, Scotts Valley 19 – Gabby Giuffre had 22 points, seven rebounds, two blocks and four steals to power Aptos High over Scotts Valley High in SCCAL play on Friday night.

Natalia Ackerman chipped in seven points, seven rebounds and three blocks for Aptos.

BOYS’ BASKETBALL

• St. Francis 60, Harbor 40 – Jason Gallo had 21 points and 11 rebounds in St. Francis High’s 23rd straight win at home on Friday night in SCCAL action.

E.J. Kelly added 11 points and four assists, Andrew Seymour added 10 points and four rebounds and Chase Watkins chimed in with seven points and 11 rebounds.

St. Francis (16-3, 8-1) plays at Soquel High today at 7 p.m.

• Pajaro Valley 66, Gilroy 34 – Christian Quintero hit five 3-pointers to finish with 24 points and help Pajaro Valley High end a three-game slump on Friday night with a Monterey Bay League Pacific division victory over Gilroy High.

Quintero also had 10 rebounds, five assists and two steals, while Tony Reyes added 10 points, eight rebounds and three assists for Pajaro Valley (10-10, 4-3).

The Grizzlies hosts Watsonville High on Wednesday night at 7 p.m.

JC BASEBALL

• Cabrillo drops back-to-back – The Cabrillo College Seahawks dropped a pair over the weekend, falling to Cypress College on Saturday and Allan Hancock on Sunday.

In Saturday’s 12-4 loss, Kai Moody was 3-for-5 with a scored run and an RBI. Jake Keaschall went 2-for-3 with a scored run.

In Sunday’s 6-1 loss, Jonah Shabry was 2-for-2 with an RBI and a stolen base.

Cabrillo (1-2) plays Marin College at San Francisco State University today at 2 p.m.
