Juliana Wilson hit a two-run homer and Jessica Rodriguez pitched a four-hit shutout in Watsonville’s 3-0 preseason win over St. Francis of Mountain View on Friday.
Rodriguez was also 2-for-4 with a scored run for Watsonville (4-0), which begins Monterey Bay League Gabilan division action today at Monterey at 4 p.m.
Maya Guerrero doubled.

• Aptos 3, SLV 0 – Aptos swept San Lorenzo Valley 25-13, 25-22, 25-20 on Friday night in Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League action.
Kacey Losik had five kills, four digs and three aces. Christian Humphrey added six kills. Michael Spinelli made 16 assists.

• Zlatunich, Salazar placed 1-2 – Aptos’ Marea Zlatunich and Watsonville’s Daniela Salazar finished 1-2 in the 1,600-meters at the Don Christopher “Garlic Classic” on Saturday in Gilroy.
Zlatunich finished in 5 minutes, 10.72 seconds and Salazar followed in 5:28.17.
North Monterey County’s Jocelyn Cazarez took second in the discus (104-5) and shot put (33-0).
Aptos’ Indra Lyons was second in the 100 hurdles (17.25).

• Kadlecek, Martinez notch wins – Aptos’ Jordan Kadlecek and North Monterey County’s Victory Martinez won the long jump and shot put at the Don Christopher “Garlic Classic” on Saturday in Gilroy.
Kadlecek’s leap of 21 feet, 8 inches was more than good enough for first.
Martinez tossed the shot 43-5 to beat teammate Guy Gida’s throw of 41-11.25 and hit a new personal record.
