Maria Candelaria “Cande” Arredondo died on Tuesday, June 12, 2018, at Watsonville Community Hospital with her family by her side. She was 61.
She was born in Mexicali, Baja California to Jorge and Maria de Jesus Arredondo. After moving to Watsonville in 1975, she worked for NorCal-Crosetti Frozen Foods for 20 years. Mrs. Arredondo loved being with her family and taking care of them, especially her grandchildren.
Mrs. Arredondo is survived by her sons, Manuel, Luis, Saul Arredondo; daughter, Zelene Somoza; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Manuel; and her mother, Maria de Jesus Vidales.
Visitation will be held Monday, June 18, from 5-9 p.m. with a vigil/rosary at 7 p.m. at Mehl’s Colonial Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, June 19, 10 a.m., at St. Patrick’s Church. Burial will follow at Valley Public Cemetery.
