On Saturday, June 9, 2018, a long time resident of Watsonville, Virginia Ruth Pizarro peacefully passed away. She was 84.

Virginia was a woman of many wonderful traits. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, sewing and bowling and most of all dancing. She was devoted to her family and their happiness. Virginia cherished family gatherings and spending time with her family, grandchildren and friends.

Virginia worked for the Pajaro Valley Unified School District for close to 45 years. In her last few years she worked part time along side her sister Joan, and fully retired last year at the age of 83. She enjoy her time working for the district, but also enjoyed all the many friends she worked with over the years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ceferino De Leon Pizarro, son Samuel Pizarro, grandaughter Becka Lindquist, sister Helen Gabuat, and parents Eutiquio Cupal and Vinnie Grace (Sharp) Cupal.

Virginia is survived by her children: Rebecca Cupal Lineham and Susan Cupal (Mark) Clark; and sister, Joan Salinas. She is also survived by her 6 grandchildren Amie Ragan, Jason (Shana) Ragan, Gynnie (Jon) Lindquist, Eugene Lineham, Drew Lineham and Mariel (Omar) Renteria; 5 great-grandchildren Elizabeth Lindquist, Joshua Alvernaz, Cecilia Renteria, Elvis Renteria and Samson Renteria; and several nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, June 30th, 2018 at 1:30PM at Pajaro Valley Golf Course, 967 Salinas Road, Watsonville, CA 95076
