Mike D. Orozco aged 76, passed away peacefully the morning of July 13, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family.
Mike was born August 27, 1941 in Santa Cruz, California. He attended Watsonville High School where he excelled in sports, especially basketball and track and field.
He met the love of his life, Gail Ebie of Santa Cruz, and they were married in October 1963.
Mike was a volunteer coach for Watsonville American Little League for over 13 years where his teams won multiple championships. He was also an avid bowler winning many awards. Mike worked at Kaiser Refractories in Moss Landing for over 20 years.
In his spare time he bought and sold fine collectibles and antiques.
He is survived by his soul mate, Gail of 55 years along with his sons, Mike (wife Stacia), Jon and Brian Orozco. He also leaves his three grandchildren, Nicole, Laura and Jason and three great-grandchildren, Leilani, Ivan, and Emmali. He is also survived by his sister, Danielle of Southern California. He was preceded in death by his mother Leilani and brother, Sam.
No service will be held, however a Celebration of his Life will be held on his birthday in August. Donations can be made in his name to Hospice of Santa Cruz County.
