CORRALITOS — A 57-year-old Corralitos man died Monday evening when he was working on his home, the Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s Office said.

Sgt. Brian Cleveland said Mark Abelar was working with several lengths of aluminum irrigation pipes on his private property when one of the pipes he was handling touched an overhead electrical power line.

Abelar suffered a massive jolt of electricity and was pronounced dead at the scene, Cleveland said.
