Jose Jesus Solorio died at his home in Watsonville on Wednesday, July 11, 2018. He was 86.

Mr. Solorio was born in Mexico to Alberto Solorio and Gregoria Aldama on Sept. 3, 1931. He was hard working family man that enjoyed the simple things in life. He enjoyed being out and about and walking around. He was a humble individual and a great conversationalist. He was a resident of Watsonville.

Mr. Solorio had 13 children, one of them being Irma (Gerardo) Viveros; eight siblings; and 44 grandchildren.

A visitation service will be held at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel located at 609 Main St. in Watsonville on Sunday, July 22 from 5-9 p.m. with a recitation of the Rosary at 7 p.m. Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of the Assumption Church located at 100 Salinas Road in Pajaro on Monday, July 23 at 11 a.m.
