Clara Fletcher, who will turn 104 Saturday, enjoys a bouquet of roses on her patio Wednesday at Watsonville Nursing Center. Fletcher was born on July 28, 1914 in Soledad, and attended King City High School. She moved to Watsonville in 1938 after getting married, and worked for the Charles Ford Company. When asked what the secret is to a long life, Fletcher replied, “Minding your own business.”
