SANTA CRUZ — Santa Cruz Police are looking for man thought to be responsible for setting two fires and vandalizing a building at the Tannery Arts Complex in August.

Police and firefighters responded on Aug. 22 at about 4:40 p.m. for a “suspicious” fire in a landscaped area across from the Tannery on the 1100 block of River Street, SCPD spokeswoman Joyce Blaschke said.

When they arrived, firefighters extinguished two small fires within the planted area, which caused minor damage to the ground cover.

While conducting follow-up investigation, detectives were advised of a vandalism that had occurred within the Tannery Arts Center complex at about the same time.
