Berta Woolever died on Tuesday, October 23, 2018 in Salinas, California.  She was 93.

She was born Berta Loschenkohl on February 22, 1925 to parents Franz and Maria Loschenkohl in Wagenhub, Austria.  She was the ninth of twelve children: Otto, Franz, Maria, Marianne, Hermine, Richard, Margaret, Tony, Berta, Leopoldine, Elfriede and an unnamed stillborn baby referred to as “The Little Boy”. 

She grew up in a time of depression and lived through World War II. At the end of the war she met her husband Henderson Lloyd Woolever (H.L). They were married on November 5, 1955 and then she immigrated to the U.S.

Betty was a devoted mother of 6 children: Elizabeth, Judson, Perry, John, Maria and Gene.  She also leaves behind many more grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. 

She spent much of her time caring for the large family and loved gardening and reading.

She was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on March 23, 1974.  Sister Woolever lived up to her dedication and zealously shared the good news of God’s Kingdom.  She leaves behind many to whom she shared the truths found in God’s word.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00PM on Nov. 10, 2018 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 125 Sill Rd., Watsonville, CA 95076.
