Shirley Louise Hurne died peacefully at her residence in Merced on Friday, Nov. 9, 2018. She was 69.
She loved teaching Japanese exchange students ad traveling the world. Some of her favorite destinations were Japan and Mexico City.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clyde McGinnis and Ellen McGinnis; and son, Terry Hurne. She is survived by her children, Cheryl Hurne, Bryon Hurne, and Christina Stevens; her siblings, Clyda Dehn, Joanne Silva, and Phillip McGinnis; six grandchildren; and many other family members.
Services were held on Nov. 13 at Pajaro Valley Memorial Park.
