WATSONVILLE — Workers are busy with 50 construction and renovation projects at 27 sites throughout Pajaro Valley Unified School District, thanks to Measure L, the $150 million bond approved by voters in 2012.

Watsonville High School received a new track, thanks in part to Santa Cruz Wharf to Wharf. Workers at the school are also finishing up dry rot repair and painting.

Mintie White Elementary School is getting upgrades to its handicapped accessibility, while Linscott Charter School is getting a new roof.

MacQuiddy Elementary, meanwhile, is getting a new, outdoor multi-use pavilion.

The district also plans to complete nine “21st Century” learning environments, also known as Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) labs, by the time students return on Aug. 16.
