Angel Joel Montes II died unexpectedly in Miami, Fla. on Sunday, July 22, 2018. He was 18.
Mr. Montes graduated from Miami Beach Senior High on June 6, 2018. He played football and had a passion for basketball. He was an avid Raiders fan, had an fascination with cars and loved to travel from coast to coast and see different sunsets and ocean views.
He is survived by his parents, Angel Montes Sr., and Patricia Morales; sister, Kianna Brielle Montes; grandparents, Irene Morales, Joel Morales Sr., Evalina Montes, John Montes; and great-grandparents, Eva Perez, Linda Bravo and Amanda Lara.
A recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held on Thursday, Aug. 9 at Our Lady of Refuge at 5:30 p.m. in Castroville and the visitation will follow at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel from 6:30-10 p.m. A Mass will be celebrated on Friday, Aug. 10 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Refuge in Castroville with burial to follow at Castroville Cemetery.
