Barbara Padilla died surrounded by her family on Wednesday, March 14, 2018. She was 87 years old.
Mrs. Padilla was born on May 23, 1930. She was a lifelong resident of Watsonville. Her strong work ethics contributed to her 25 years of employment history at the Green Giant Cannery and various raspberry fields. Her joyful, loving, and giving personality was valued by her family and friends.
Barbarita is survived by her husband, Jesus Padilla, 4 daughters, 8 sons, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed playing bingo, cooking, spending time with her family, and listening and dancing to norteño music, especially the Ramon Ayala. A special thanks to Watsonville Post Acute Center for the many years of loving care. She will forever live in the hearts of those who were fortunate to have her in their lives.
Visitation will be held at Mehl’s Colonial Chapel on Tuesday, March 20th from 5-9 p.m. with a recitation of Rosary at 7 p.m. A Mass of Catholic Burial will be celebrated at Maria Auxiliadora Church on Wednesday, March 21st at 1 p.m. with burial to follow at Valley Public Cemetery.
