Bonifacio M. “Boni” Coma Sr. died at Watsonville Community Hospital on Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2018. He was 81. 

A native of the Philippine Islands, he lived in Watsonville since 1976. Mr. Coma was the head custodian for the City of Watsonville for 27 years. He was a member of the Filipino Community of Watsonville. He was an enthusiastic fan of all sports, but his passion was golf and played regularly.

Mr. Coma is survived by his wife, Fely, of Watsonville; his son, Bonifacio Coma Jr., and daughter-in-law, Kristel Anne Coma of Prunedale; two brothers, George of New Jersey and Ciano of the Philippine Islands.

Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m., with recitation of the rosary at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 8 at Mehl’s Colonial Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, Nov. 9 at 1 p.m. at St. Patrick’s Church. Burial will follow at Valley Public Cemetery.
