Bryan Kent Dickey was called Home after a long, courageous battle with cancer on Monday, July 9, 2018 at his home in Watsonville. He was 62.

Bryan was born in Arizona but grew up mainly in Fallon, Nevada. After graduating from Churchill County High School, he attended and graduated with a BA in Business Administration from Northwest Nazarene University in Nampa, Idaho. He served in the USAF and Army National Guard of Idaho.

Bryan worked in accounting for various firms in the Central Valley of California and in Oklahoma. For the past 10 years he was the Chief Financial Officer for Community Action Board of Santa Cruz, Watsonville, California.

While working in Modesto, California, he met and married Renee (nee Weaver) Dickey. They celebrated 34 years together last October. They have three incredible sons who married three incredible women and had six incredible grandchildren, Jonathan Robert and Rebecca; (grandchildren: Jon Jr, and Allison) of Aptos, CA; Thomas Wilson and Niccole (grandchild: Elliott) of Oklahoma City, OK and Mark Allen and Kayla (grandchildren: Karli, Kassidy, and Kamryn) of Hubert, NC. Bryan is also survived by his brother, Neal (Yvette, Aurora and Cameron), of Salinas and sister, Cindy Laws (Doug, Sam and Lynette) of Idaho and many friends and extended family members.

Bryan was preceded in death by his dad and mom, IW and Dorothy Dickey and his youngest brother, Bradley.

A private celebration of Bryan’s life was graciously hosted by Coraly Hanson at her home. Mehl’s Colonial Chapel was entrusted with the arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to CAB of Santa Cruz County 406 Main St Ste # 207 Watsonville CA 95076 would be appreciated.

The family of Bryan Kent Dickey would like to thank Twin Lakes Church Through Cancer With Care (Coraly Hanson and group members), the nurses and support staff at Dignity Health Infusion Center, and the nurses and support staff at Hospice of Santa Cruz County for their caring attitude and incredible support.
