A man who was pulled over for reportedly running a red light was arrested for being in possession of drugs and a gun.

According to Watsonville Police, an officer was patrolling the Freedom Boulevard and Davis Avenue area when he saw a blue Corvette driver run a red light. After pulling him over, the officer reportedly learned that the driver, 54-year-old Mateo Bayuga, had a suspended driver’s license for driving under the influence. Inside the car, officers found a loaded gun and several meth pipes with a gram of methamphetamine, according to police.

Bayuga was arrested for having a loaded firearm while being in possession of a controlled substance, carrying a firearm in a public place, and driving on a suspended license because of a DUI.
