The top-seeded St. Francis High Sharks lost to No. 4 Pinewood, 74-71, in triple overtime of the Central Coast Section Division V semifinals on Wednesday night in Los Altos.

St. Francis, which was looking to defend its section crown from a year ago, finishes its season at 20-6 overall.

Chase Watkins (23), Jason Gallo (19), Andrew Seymour (14) and Joseph Ramirez (12) all scored in double figures, but it wasn’t enough for St. Francis, which last year won league, section and regional championships en route to the program’s first-ever state championship berth.

The Sharks will graduate three seniors: James Young, Watkins and Gallo.
