Christina Vasquez died on Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Watsonville Community Hospital. She was 65.

She was born on July 8, 1952 to Julian Vasquez and Esther Gervasio. She was a lifelong resident of Watsonville. She had a passion for cooking. Her favorite dish was enchiladas. She enjoyed listening to music, collecting photographs of family and friends. Her favorite color was purple.

She was an avid fan of the Miami Dolphins. She also enjoyed thrift shopping.

She is survived by her daughter, Annette Melendrez (Alvaro Melendrez); her mother, Esther Gervasio; siblings, Rosie Vasquez, Jessie Muok, Julian Vasquez, Elizabeth Soria, Raul Torres and Peter Gervasio; and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Eddie Guzman Jr.; brother, Ernie Vasquez; and sister, Jennie Gervasio.

Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, March 16 at Green Valley Christian Church at 10:30 a.m.
