The children of Darryl and Glenda Welty are pleased to announce the 70th wedding anniversary of their parents.
Darryl and Glenda were married Aug. 24, 1950 at Glad Tidings Church in Hanford. Both attended Hanford High School where they met and fell in love. Darryl began his plastering career with his father Norton and brother Lowell. Shortly after Darryl was discharged from the Air Force (1951-1954) he and Glenda relocated to Soquel. There, Darryl and Lowell started Welty and Welty Plastering. In 1975 Darryl and Glenda relocated to Watsonville and started their own business DW Stucco and Drywall. Both are now happily retired.
Glenda, a bookkeeper, pianist and singer loved music. She and Darryl were long time members of Cabrillo Assembly of God Church in Soquel. Glenda was the choir director for 16 years at Cabrillo Assembly and sang and played piano at various churches and many weddings. They raised five children, four daughters and a son: Sharon Moreno (Abel), Carole Johnson (Wayne), Laura Kusanovich (Steve), Daniel Welty and Diane Welty. They also have nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Another great-grandchild is on the way.
We thank you both for being such wonderful and loving parents.
