SANTA CRUZ — A man found dead on Saturday along North Rodeo Gulch Road has been identified as Bernardo Rodas, 41, of Santa Cruz.

Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s detectives are investigating the death as suspicious. An autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death will take place later this week.

The SCSO responded to a report of a deceased male on the 4000 block of Rodeo Gulch Road at about 3 p.m.

Rodas was reported missing on Oct. 10.

The case is being investigated as a homicide.

Sheriff’s detectives are asking for help from the public to determine where and when Rodas was last seen alive. Anyone with information is asked to contact Sgt. Dee Baldwin at 454-7635 or email at [email protected].
