WATSONVILLE — Gabriel Gutiérrez Delgadillo died at Dominican Hospital surrounded by his family on Sunday, Jan. 7, 2018. He was 62.

Mr. Gutiérrez was born to Enrique Gutiérrez and María Guadalupe Delgadillo on July 8, 1955 in San Juan Cósala, Jalisco México. As a young man, 46 years ago, Mr. Gutiérrez came to this area, where he settled down and raised a family. He worked in many jobs and places but his last employment was as a laborer in a building demolition crew. He was a hard worker always providing for his family. He liked to go to the flea market with his wife and tend to his plant garden. He enjoyed watching soccer, when his favorite team played (Las Chivas). He loved his wife and was very dedicated to his family.

He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Area Vazquez; two sons, Cesar Gabriel and Josue Saul Gutierrez; three daughters, Marcela, Ana, and Maria Guadalupe Gutierrez; four brothers; three sisters; and 10 grandchildren.

Visitation will be held at Mehl’s Colonial Chapel on Friday, Jan. 12 from 3-9 p.m. with a Chapel Blessing at 4:30 p.m. and the rosary recited at 7 p.m. Burial will take place in Mexico.
