Gina Cano Miles died peacefully at her Watsonville home surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, Dec. 22, 2018. She was 45.

She was born to Emiliano Cano and Silvestra Cabriano in the Philippine Islands on Sept. 5, 1973. Mrs. Miles immigrated to the United States 15 years ago, where she settled down in Watsonville with her family. Mrs. Miles was a hard working person of great perseverance, working two jobs. She was interested in the nursing field and she accomplished her goal. She was a Certified Nurse Assistant for 15 years at Dominican Hospital. She loved spending quality time with her family and friends. She played mahjong, loved to watch movies and tend her orchids. She loved to travel and going on adventures. 

She is survived by her husband, Rene Laborado; one son, Raffy Cano; one daughter, Therese Cano; and 12 siblings. 

Visitation will be held at Mehl’s Colonial Chapel on Saturday, Dec. 29 from 3-9 p.m. The Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Further services and burial will take place in the Philippine Islands at a later date.
