WATSONVILLE—The County of Santa Cruz Department of Public Works has announced that Green Valley Road in Watsonville, from Celia Drive to Paulsen Road, will be subject to daily closure between 8:30am and 4:30pm, starting Wednesday and running through April 14, weather permitting.
The road will be plated and reopened at 4:30pm Monday through Friday.
A detour will be in place for traffic traveling north on Green Valley at Amesti Road. A detour will also be in place for traffic traveling south on Green Valley at Pioneer to Amesti Road. A third detour will be in place for traffic traveling east on Varni Road to Amesti Road.
The Department of Public Works said in a press release that the road closure is necessary for construction of a sewer main, installation of manholes and road improvements. They would like the motoring public to use detours during this time, and to expect delays.
