Santa Cruz County Sheriff’s deputies are looking for three suspects that tied up two people in their Live Oak residence and held them at gunpoint while they stole several bags of belongings.
According to Sheriff’s spokeswoman Ashley Keehn, deputies were dispatched just after midnight to a residence on the 2000 block of Halterman Avenue in Live Oak.
The victims said they had left the house at about 11:30pm when three suspects approached them, held them at gunpoint and demanded they return to the home.
The suspects then forced the victims back into the house, zip-tied their hands and feet and stole several items.Â
After approximately 40 minutes inside the home, the three suspects left with several bags full of the victim’s belongings.
The first two suspects are described as Black male adults, approximately 6 feet tall, 200 pounds. They were wearing black beanies with black bandanas over their faces, black sweatshirts and dark colored pants.
The third suspect is described as a Black male adult approximately 5 feet, 7 inches tall and 160 pounds with a mustache, white bandana on his face, solid white sweatshirt and blue jeans.
The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information or video surveillance of suspicious persons or vehicles in the area of Halterman Avenue, Encina Drive, Mattison Lane, Chanticleer Avenue, Byer Road or Maciel Avenue between 10pm and 12am on the night of July 10 is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office non-emergency line at 471.1121.
Perfect example why all law abiding citizens should be armed because the bad guys won’t be following laws as we can see here. Santa Cruz county is going to become Oakland, Memphis, Chicago & Detroit. Thank God, I live in an area where we love our freedom and appreciate 2A.
We hope law enforcement will pull out all stops to get these guys and then lock em’ up for many years to come….
Am I expecting too much?
