St. Francis High finished its record-setting season with a 22-0 blowout win over Harbor High on May 10 in Santa Cruz Coast Athletic League action.

Senior pitcher Shelby Velasco tossed a one-hit shutout with nine strikeouts through five innings, and the Sharks won their fourth straight game.

St. Francis broke the program record for overall wins in a season (15) and league wins in a season (8).

The Sharks, who will compete in the Pacific Coast Athletic League next season during its inaugural year, will graduate only two from a roster of 13: third baseman Anna Noto and Velasco.

St. Francis had 16 hits in the victory. Sophomore second baseman Grace Kovacs had three hits, three RBIs and two scored runs. Sophomore shortstop Ariana Azevedo knocked in four runs with a double and a triple. Velasco also tripled and had two RBIs to go with her solid day in the circle.

LINES OF THE WEEK (May 10-17)
• Aptos High sophomore shortstop Shea Garcia was 2-for-4 with a grand slam, four RBIs and two scored runs in the Mariners’ 10-6 win over San Lorenzo Valley High on Friday.

• St. Francis sophomore shortstop Ariana Azevedo was 2-for-2 with a triple, a double, four RBIs, four scored runs and three walks in the Sharks’ 22-0 win over Harbor on May 10.
