The leaning tower of Dallas? A demolition in Dallas on Sunday of a residential high-rise did not go according to plan. Following the typical dynamite blasts and huge puffs of smoke the old building simply leaned over a bit and stayed that way. Onlookers say the building resembles the leaning tower of Pisa in Italy. Now, thousands of people have come to the area for photos. The implosion was part of “The Central, a 27-acre, $2.5 billion development project that will bring an office building, a hotel, eateries and other amenities to an area just north of downtown Dallas,” The Dallas Morning News reported. Though close to 300 pounds of dynamite went into the blast, it wasn’t enough to take down the structure.
